Local students named to SNHU dean’s list
Southern New Hampshire University announced that three local students were named to the fall 2025 dean’s list.
Local students earning dean’s list honors are:
• Stephanie Reese, of Valencia.
• Emerson Nacino, of Santa Clarita.
• Corey Lollar, of Santa Clarita.
The fall terms run from September to December.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the dean’s list. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired eight-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring and summer.
Southern New Hampshire University is a private, nonprofit, accredited institution with a 93-year history of educating traditional-aged students and working adults. Now serving more than 200,000 learners worldwide, SNHU offers approximately 200 undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs, available online and on its 300-acre campus in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Local student graduates from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Maia Correia-Fill, of Valencia, graduated with a bachelor of fine arts degree from the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Correia-Fill was among the more than 1,300 prospective candidates for degrees attending University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee commencement exercises Sunday, Dec. 21, in Milwaukee.
UWM is the second largest university in the state of Wisconsin, with over 23,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
Local students named to dean’s list at Belmont University
Belmont University released the dean’s list for the fall 2025 semester, with approximately 55% of the university’s 6,934 undergraduate students qualifying for the list.
Among them were the following students:
• Samantha Zaidman, of Valencia.
• Isabella Caracciolo, of Valencia.
• Sophia Concepcion, of Stevenson Ranch.
Dean’s list eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
Located near the heart of Nashville, Belmont University consists of nearly 9,000 students who come from every state and 33 countries. A Christ-centered, student-focused community, Belmont has more than 115 areas of undergraduate study, 41 master’s programs and five doctoral degrees.
2 local students graduate from University of Maryland Global Campus
University of Maryland Global Campus graduated more than 3,800 students worldwide in the summer 2025 term, including the following two local students:
• Layla Monterroso, of Newhall, associate of arts.
• Chad Mitchell, of Valencia, bachelor of science, cum laude, in criminal justice.

Today, UMGC is the largest provider of postsecondary education in Maryland and continues its global tradition with online and hybrid courses, more than 175 classroom and service locations worldwide, and more than 135 degrees and certificates.
