The Polka Dot Roadshow, a Mercantile and Art Fair, will return to Santa Clarita for a one-day only holiday event to be held at The Centre on Centre Pointe Parkway on Saturday, November 12, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from the Roadshow will benefit Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local homeless children and their families.
This is the second time The Polka Dot Roadshow has been in the SCV, having made its debut in April of this year at NorthPark Community Church. The new venue at The Centre will allow for a bigger show and over 50 pop-up shops and vendors selling unique handmade artwork and gift items. Admission for the event is $5 for adults and the first 50 guests will receive a goodie bag. Visitors at the show will be able to shop for handmade treats, home décor, vintage items, bath products, apparel and other items.
The Polka Dot Roadshow chose to team up with Family Promise of SCV as a way to give back to the most at-risk members of the community. Event organizer Lisa Rapo said, “We love Family Promise and believe that the spirit of The Polka Dot Roadshow really matches up perfectly with the work they do. This is a great opportunity to support Family Promise and give our guests a chance to learn more about them.”
Family Promise of SCV board president Laurie Ender was enthusiastic about the partnership as well. “This is such a fun holiday event and we’re thrilled that they selected Family Promise as their non-profit partner.” Family Promise has been in operation in the Santa Clarita Valley for over five years and provides shelter, meals, support and case management to homeless children and their families. They partner with local businesses, faith communities, non-profits and other agencies to assist these families 365-days-a-year.
