On the coming Nov. 8 ballot, under the choices for College of the Canyons Board of Trustees Area 2, we encourage you to vote for Bruce Fortine.
Bruce is a candidate who has demonstrated experience and dedication in his position. He has helped guide the college since its inception and has contributed to its remarkable success.
He has worked with all past COC presidents, plus administrators, faculty, staff and students, and has overseen the college’s growth from a collection of temporary buildings in the 1960s to a two-campus system in Valencia and Canyon Country.
COC currently serves thousands of students in state-of-the-art campus buildings, classrooms, high-tech labs, nursing programs, a culinary institute and a University Center.
There are few institutions in our valley today that have achieved such statewide and national prominence as College of the Canyons.
During his stewardship on the COC board, Bruce Fortine has demonstrated continued fiscal oversight and stability.
He has been closely involved with the curriculum, seeing that the students are equipped to achieve their educational and professional goals. He has helped COC score the second-best completion rate for students in California.
No other candidate for the COC board has his years of experience, knowledge of the community, and understanding of the future needs of our students.
