To Gerald Staack (Letters, Aug. 11) and Michael Jones (Aug. 18) on the definition of “Freedom,” you’re both wrong. Janis Joplin defined “freedom” in her 1971 hit “Me and Bobby McGee.” Janis sang, “Freedom’s just another word for nothin’ left to lose.” Really hits the nail on the head, don’t it?
