An infant reported to have had trouble breathing was airlifted from a Valencia home and flown to a hospital Monday afternoon.
The child, whose age and gender were not disclosed, was taken by helicopter to a local hospital, Inspector Gustavo Medina Inspector of the Los Angeles County Fire Department told The Signal Monday.
Paramedics were dispatched initially to a medical call involving an infant at a home on the 28000 block of Lapine Avenue.
“We got the call at 1:22 p.m.,” Medina said. “It was for a child who was sick.”
Once paramedics arrived, they decided to have the child airlifted to the hospital.
Paramedics aboard LACFD helicopter 12 touched down in an open area near Mountainview Elementary School near Cypress Place where they took care of the child, a firefighter from Fire Station #108 said.
