Four people are in the hospital after a three-vehicle crash occurred on northbound Highway 14 north of Escondido Canyon Road on Saturday, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department officials.
“There were four patients, two of them critical,” said supervising fire dispatcher Melanie Flores.
A SigAlert was issued at approximately 5:43 p.m. for the area near the collision with a one hour expectancy, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page.
According to the log, three lanes were closed due to “an injury accident.”
The traffic collision call went out to officials at approximately 5:28 p.m.
