Help The Children hosted a fundraiser for the community at the Newhall VFW.
A sumptuous dinner was cooked by Chef Pat Corrigan and included prime rib, chicken, potatoes, bread, vegetables and dessert. The guests were entertained by Debra Lee and Trigger Happy, a local country band. There was a silent auction which included picnic baskets, a bicycle and a cruise. It was a fun night for all.
Help the Children is a local nonprofit organization in partnership with other nonprofit organizations, local businesses and caring individuals, and provides hope and a “hand up” to those in need. The facility is located in the Valencia Industrial Center. They count on volunteers to distribute food, work in the warehouse, and drive to pick up donations.
