Three people suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to two separate hospitals Thursday afternoon following a head-on crash near Neenach.

One patient, a man who appeared to be in his 40s, was taken by helicopter to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.

Two other patients were taken in another helicopter to Antelope Valley Hospital.

The crash happened just before 3:45 p.m. Thursday on Highway 138 near 280th Street, near Neenach, Supervisor Melanie Flores of the Los Angeles County Fire Department told The Signal.

A white SUV and a white sedan collided head on.

“This was for a report of two vehicles in a traffic collision,” Flores said.
