It’s that time of the year to come out and cheer on the marching band and color guard teams who are coming from parts of Southern California to perform and compete in the Marching Band Field Show Tournament at College of the Canyons Cougar Stadium.  In fact, there will be 36 teams in total, including all six local high schools from the Hart District; Canyon, Golden Valley, Saugus, Valencia, West Ranch and Hart.

This year marks the 34 time that the award winning Hart Regiment has hosted Rampage, a SCSBOA (Southern California School Band & Orchestra Association) judged competition. The Hart Regiment under the direction of Anthony Bailey has achieved the honor of being named the SCSBOA State Champion in its division an unprecedented 13 times since 2002.  Hart High School was named a Distinguished School of the Arts in 2013, due in large part to its outstanding music program.

Rampage is the primary fund raiser for Hart’s music program.  Run entirely by volunteers, including the Hart Music Boosters and Alumni, this event is a culmination of many months of hard work and preparation.  It showcases the tireless efforts of the musicians and dancers to practice their routines in order to present the best “show” possible.  Rampage is a team effort and an opportunity to encourage one another to aspire for excellence.

We are proud to invite the community to come together and cheer on their favorite marching band and color guard teams or to support the efforts of so many talented performers.  Please come out and enjoy the day or part of the day on Saturday, November 4.  There will be food vendors, raffle prizes and merchandise booths available. The event typically begins 10-10:30 a.m. ends with a mass drumline and awards in the evening.

Tickets are available at the gate.  Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, and free for children 5 and under.  For more information or to make a donation, please call 661-347-8461 or go to www.hartregiment.com.
