A report in the Sacramento Bee reveals that the California state budget, awaiting Gov. Jerry Brown’s signature, diverts tens of millions of dollars of taxpayers’ hard-earned money into programs that assist illegal immigrants in fighting federal deportation orders, with an additional $10 million to retain lawyers to represent unaccompanied minors who want to stay in the U.S.
This budget also expands funding to the Department of Social Services and public colleges for legal services, and includes $1.6 million to fund a team of attorneys and investigators who would carry out the dictates of Assembly Bill 430, the law that imposes penalties of up to $10,000 on employers who fail to notify their workers of a pending immigration action.
In 2015, Democrats passed the National Voter Registration Act, which automatically registers individuals applying for a driver’s license or state identification card, to vote. The same report in the Sac Bee states that, as of March, more than 1 million undocumented immigrants have received driver’s licenses from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
In a study by the Pew Research Center, it was reported that lawful Mexican immigrants are the least likely to become U.S. citizens. In fact, only one-third of legal Mexican immigrants are citizens. Of the 3.5 million eligible Mexican immigrants, only 42 percent had applied for and obtained U.S. citizenship by 2015.
California Secretary of State Alex Padilla told the L.A. Times he expects “millions of new voters on the rolls in the state of California” for the 2018 election cycle. The numbers reflected in the Pew study clearly indicate that those “millions of new voters” cannot possibly all be naturalized citizens.
It’s no secret that illegal aliens are the new favored constituency of the Democrat Party. Americans are lectured on a daily basis, by liberals and the media, about the superior nobility and civility of illegal immigrants. California Democrats are shamelessly pandering for illegal alien votes, using the biggest bribery scandal in recent history.
Liberals who promote the open borders agenda cite reports claiming that undocumented immigrants commit fewer crimes than natural-born U.S. citizens, but this deceptive rhetoric is provably false.
The Heritage Foundation has uncovered the deception in those reports: “The issue isn’t non-citizens who are in this country legally, and who must abide by the law to avoid having their visas revoked or their application for citizenship refused. The real issue is the crimes committed by illegal aliens. And in that context, the claim is quite misleading, because the ‘multiple studies’ on crimes committed by ‘immigrants’ … combine the crime rates of both citizens and non-citizens, legal and illegal.”
In 2011, the Government Accountability Office reported that both legal and illegal criminal aliens make up 27 percent of the total federal prison population, yet the Center for Immigration Studies found that non-citizens only make up 9 percent of the population.
Judging by those numbers, it’s not a stretch to conclude that non-citizens commit federal crimes at three times the rate of citizens. That fact does not deter Democrats like Nancy Pelosi from pathetically groveling for approval from illegal aliens, by describing MS-13 gang members as possessing a “spark of divinity.”
Of course, not all illegal immigrants commit violent crimes. But what is never discussed by politicians or the media is the fraud committed by illegal immigrants who are “paying into the system” by pilfering Social Security numbers from American citizens. In 2017, the Washington Times reported that most illegal immigrants who pay taxes are using stolen identities. The Social Security Administration’s Office of the Chief Actuary estimated in 2013 that the figure could be as high as 75 percent.
Many American citizens have been killed by illegal aliens, yet Democrats defend sanctuary city policies, and call for abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Liberals call for restricting our Second Amendment rights, “even if it saves just one life.” How many thousands of American lives would be saved by deporting illegal immigrants and protecting our nation’s borders?
