Yes, it is true, Fosters Freeze on Soledad is closing. The last day is Oct. 28.
Having lived behind the location in Greenbrier Estates for 36 years, I can say that there are many who will miss the home of the soft-serve dipped cones and chocolate malts. Restaurants and fast food places come and go in this town, but Fosters has been a neighborhood staple for many years. I thank the staff for their service and wish them all the best wherever they go.
So stop by before the 28th, get your dip cone and say goodbye to another tradition many of us grew up with. Anyone know where one can get a good chocolate malt?
