There have been a lot of studies over the years relating to the health benefits of consuming alcoholic beverages.

Drinking wine has always seemed to be the healthiest choice. You might be surprised that drinking craft beer can also benefit your health in similar ways that wine can.

The key is any consumption of alcohol should be done in moderation as too much alcohol in any form can harm your body.

Here are a few ways that craft beer can keep you in good health. Beer can cut back on cardiovascular disease and Italian researchers have found that moderate beer drinkers had a 42-percent lower risk of heart disease compared to nondrinkers.

Dutch researchers have found that people who consumed beer in moderation were significantly less likely to be diagnosed with type-2 diabetes in their lives.

Cheers to never having to pass a kidney stone (hopefully, you have not had this experience), but a great way to help prevent kidney stones is by drinking an occasional beer.

Researchers in Finland have found that the hops in beer help slow the release of calcium from bones, which could be reabsorbed by the kidneys as painful stones.

Drinking craft beer can also help to lower blood pressure, fight off infection and prevent fractures by strengthening your bones.

Life’s short, drink craft beer in moderation and keep your body healthy.

Cheers!
