Nothing says “Happy Easter” for children like a continuous egg hunt, which is one of the activities at Bethlehem SCV’s ninth annual Easter Eggventure in Canyon Country on Saturday.

“We have free hot dogs, games, face painting (and) a bounce house,” said Debbie D’Amico, family ministry director. “And here’s the fun part: Not only will there be an egg hunt, but continuous egg hunts. This won’t be one of those ‘gone in 60 seconds’ egg hunts where it ends and half the kids are crying.”

D’Amico added children 10 years old and younger will be able to collect eggs through the entire event. She also noted that preschool teachers will be painting children’s faces.

Guests can also bring canned food donations, which Bethlehem SCV will be collecting for the Santa Clarita Grocery, also known as Helping Our Children Santa Clarita. While it’s a way for families to come together, it’s also an effort to do something for the community as the event has blossomed over the last nine years, D’Amico said.

“It’s just a great way for our church and preschool to share with the community that we are here and serving the community in many ways, and we’re just fun people over here,” she said.

The Eggventure begins at noon and ends at 2 p.m. BethlehemSCV is located at 27265 Luther Drive in Canyon Country.
