The College of the Canyons Art Gallery presents “Budding Artists,” an exhibit that features artwork created by children who are enrolled in the college’s Center for Early Childhood Education.

Following its open house event on its debut last Saturday, “Budding Artists” will run through Saturday, April 27, according to a college news release. A silent auction fundraiser will also be held for the duration of the exhibit with proceeds going toward the Center for Early Childhood Education.

The deadline for silent auction bidding is noon on Saturday, April 27, and the exhibit’s closing reception will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the same day, with auction winners expected to be announced at the beginning of the program.

“We are very excited to share the artwork created by CECE children with their families and the community,” said Art Gallery director Pamela Lewis.

The College of the Canyons Art Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays for the Budding Artists exhibition, but those who are unable to visit during normal hours are welcome to contact the gallery to schedule a viewing appointment.

All gallery exhibitions and related events are free and open to the public, officials said. For more information, visit the COC Art Gallery web page at bit.ly/2Gs9el7.
