A Valencia woman who allegedly ordered her hamburger with “no ketchup, no pickles” ended up being arrested on suspicion of damaging property Thursday, after allegedly throwing a fit over her “messed up” order.

The incident happened at the Burger King restaurant, on Lyons Avenue, near the northbound lanes of Interstate 5, Thursday afternoon, said Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“A woman went into Burger King on Lyons upset because they had messed up her order two days earlier,” she said.

“The woman had asked for no ketchup, no pickles, and when she got her burger it had all the condiments on it.

Everything went off the rails, apparently, when restaurant staffer asked the woman for her receipt.

“She didn’t have the receipt,” Miller said. “Making her so upset she smashed a cookie jar on the counter — cookies all over the floor. Then she knocked the cash register, and that’s where the damage was done.”

Once the damage was assessed to be more than $400, deputies arrested the woman on suspicion of felony vandalism.

The shattered cookie jar and damaged cash register wasn’t the end of it, Miller said.

Deputies received reports that the same woman, still angered, tried to take food being delivered to other Burger King patrons.

Tami Tavares, 37, described by arresting deputies as unemployed, was arrested at 7:20 p.m.

She was taken to the SCV Sheriff Station and booked, with bail set at $25,000.
