Realizing a goal the law firm has eyed for a while, Poole & Shaffery has expanded once again, this time opening a new office to better serve its clients in the Ventura County business community.
“This has kind of been a part of the grand scheme or the bigger plan for a number of years,” said Brian Koegle, a partner at Poole & Shaffery. “So, now we’ve established some strong relationships in the Ventura County community to have a great foundation to build upon.”
The firm’s practice areas include business transactions, business and commercial litigation, employment law counseling, employment law litigation, business succession planning, trust administration, real estate transactions and litigation, trucking and transportation and cyber security, data breach and internet privacy.
John Shaffery, one of the firm’s founding partners, said demand in the area for the firm’s services was a factor in the decision.
Employment counseling and real estate litigation are two of the areas where the firm has seen an increase in demand, which was a factor in Poole & Shaffery’s decision to expand in that direction. The firm already has offices in multiple Southern California locations, including Santa Clarita, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.
“(This new location) allows us to service a new community, but it’s one that I think is very similar to Santa Clarita in that this is an underserved business community,” Koegle said. “We believe we’re going to to be able to bring the same quality of legal services and representation in the Santa Clarita Valley to a new business community.”
Poole & Shaffery also offers regular updates to business on California’s ever-changing employment laws, as well as services to assist businesses of all sizes in making sure their personnel procedures and employee handbooks are in legal compliance.
