Firefighters quickly responded to and snuffed out a quarter-acre fire in Castaic Saturday night.
The blaze, located on the 33000 block of Remington Road, was first reported at 10:04 p.m., according to fire dispatch supervisor Art Marrujo. Firefighters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived within minutes and halted all forward progress within a half hour.
No homes were threatened and no injuries were reported. Marrujo said whatever may have caused the fire has not yet been determined.
