“College of the Canyons Chancellor Dr. Dianne Van Hook is a leader’s leader in the Santa Clarita Valley, and someone whose lasting power and continual ability to deliver top-notch results for COC makes her work there an invaluable asset for our community.”

College of the Canyons Chancellor Dr. Dianne Van Hook has stood for three decades as a leader in our community, through her development of all aspects of the college, including a second campus, which has dramatically increased access for COC students. For evidence of this, look no further than the fact that COC has granted a record number of degrees each year for the last 10 years. This is a truly remarkable accomplishment for a college that has served this community for five decades.
College of the Canyons also stays on the cutting edge because Van Hook has been an unflagging force in expanding the number of programs offered at COC. The aptly named Dianne Van Hook University Center at the Valencia campus also dramatically increased the number of four-year degrees accessible to SCV residents.
It’s expanded well beyond being an academic environment, too, as it’s an economic driver for the entire region through its involvement in hosting the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corp.
