Assemblywoman Christy Smith, D-Santa Clarita, (center) delivers 600 personal protective equipment gowns, secured in partnership with the Los Angeles BizFed Institute, to staff at the Santa Clarita Post-Acute Care Center, a nursing home in Newhall, on Thursday, July 2, 2020. The donation comes as nursing homes in California are considered the hardest hit with COVID-19 cases in California.
