A Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter rescued a hiker from Wildwood Canyon before 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
The hiker was experiencing a medical issue, according to Supervisor Ed Pickett with the Fire Department. The department received the call at 12:05 p.m.
The 64-year-old man was airlifted to a nearby hospital at 12:52 p.m., Pickett said.Â
