L.A. County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, during a ceremony Thursday in the Antelope Valley, reflected on the anniversary of Sept. 11, urging county residents to honor lives lost and embrace the spirit of unity and service. “Sept. 11 will always be a day that touches our hearts and reminds us how quickly life can change,” she said, according to a news release from her office. “It’s a time to remember the lives we lost, honor the bravery we witnessed, and reflect on the strength that carried us through as a nation. Let us also use this day to come together in kindness and service, keeping alive the spirit of unity that helped us heal in the days that followed.” Barger’s district includes the Santa Clarita Valley.
