Authorities are investigating reports of shots being fired near the intersection of Walnut Street and 15th Street in Newhall on Wednesday evening, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
According to witnesses on the scene, there was an argument in the area that culminated in at least one shot being fired. Two Hispanic males then reportedly fled the scene in an unknown direction, which led to a vehicle collision.
Sgt. R. Arambulo reported that bullet casings were found nearby, and that deputies are actively investigating the incident. No arrests or injuries have been reported.
