A person was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a single-vehicle traffic collision on Peachland Avenue and Happy Valley Drive during the early hours of Sunday morning, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

A burgundy vehicle struck a street light, rolled over and struck another parked vehicle around 12:17 a.m., according to observations on the scene.

Deputies arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI, and it was confirmed that the suspect was an adult, but under 21 years old, according to Deputy Nicholas Hoslet with the station.

There were two parties sitting on the sidewalk in the aftermath of the crash and they appeared to be teenagers. No one was transported, but one party was apparently injured and had blood on his face, according to observations at the scene.

There is no additional information at the time of this publication, Hoslet said.
