There’s going to be a new Buzz around town starting Nov. 24, as Signal Owner/Publisher Richard Budman announced the Santa Clarita Valley’s community news organization is launching its new 24-hour streaming channel, The Buzz.

The Buzz will feature local video and podcast shows, covering a wide array of topics from local news to lifestyle features and event coverage, all in coordination with The Signal’s 106-year legacy of covering all things SCV.

News reports, drawn from The Signal’s SCV-leading local coverage, will be provided throughout each day, Budman said.

In addition, The Buzz will carry syndicated national shows and podcasts, creating a constant flow of fresh, engaging local and national content, Budman announced during The Signal’s annual Top 51 luncheon on Thursday saluting the newspaper’s 51 Most Influential people of the SCV.

“It’s no secret that most young adults are getting their news, information and entertainment online and via streaming platforms,” Budman said after making the announcement at Salt Creek Grille in Valencia. “So, in addition to our existing print publications and our news website at signalscv.com, we will be meeting SCV residents where they are, online and via streaming platforms.”

The Buzz will be available in multiple ways, including online via the web, through podcast platforms like iHeartMedia and through its own app on smart-TV streaming devices and services.

Additional details will be announced as the launch date approaches and The Buzz’s own website prepares to go live.
