A child was transported after a medical emergency call to the 25000 block of Avenida Cappela on Thursday afternoon, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Firefighters were dispatched at 1:18 p.m. to the call and arrived on the scene at 1:23 p.m., according to Saadullah Shiekh with the Fire Department.
The transport was at 1:30 p.m., Shiekh said.
Firefighters requested California Highway Patrol Newhall-area officers to help escort them, per radio dispatch traffic.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials said it was a medical call that was not part of a criminal investigation and that the child was conscious and breathing.
