A white Lexus SUV needed assistance after being stuck in heavy mud on Hasley Canyon Road and Del Valle Road on Saturday evening, according to an official with the California Highway Patrol Newhall-area Office.
Officers and L.A. County Public Works personnel responded to the call, according to Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez, public information officer with the CHP.
There were four people in the vehicle at the time of the incident, but they were able to escape without any injuries, Burgos-Lopez said.
A second vehicle was involved, causing the road closures in the area, Burgos-Lopez said.
At around 9:50 p.m., CHP closed the road.
Burgos-Lopez said he was unsure if the roads were still closed in the area due to L.A. County Public Works being the handling agency to shut them down.
L.A. County Public Works personnel were unavailable to reach at the time of this publication.
