A reported fight in Old Town Newhall resulted in no arrests Friday night as the brawl had broken up when deputies arrived, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Deputy D. Reeder, who declined to provide his first name, said deputies were called at 11:34 p.m. to respond to the area of Main Street and Market Street in response to a report that someone with a firearm had been thrown out of a bar and was involved in a fight with “between 15-20 people.”
The name of the bar wasn’t included in the call.
Reeder said that when deputies arrived on the scene, it appeared that a large fight had occurred, but it was unclear whether the fight had broken up completely before deputies arrived.
Several people at the scene left when deputies arrived and no one came forward as a victim or with injuries that needed medical transport.
No one came forward who could say whether someone had been carrying a firearm and deputies were cleared from the call at around midnight.
