A Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station official confirmed a man was stabbed several times but left with non-life-threatening injuries after an assault in Canyon Country on Thursday.
The SCV Sheriff’s Station received a 911 call at 10:06 p.m. about the incident on the 19000 block of Fairweather Street, near Delight Street, according to Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the SCV Sheriff’s Station, in a phone interview Friday.
“They’re still working through it and investigating it,” she said of the initial report.
One person was taken to the hospital, she said, adding that “‘the victim and the suspect knew each other and there’s been no arrest made yet,’” referring to a report she received from the station’s Detective Bureau.
There was no suspect information being released to the public at this time.
