Southern California Edison shut down a transformer in the ā€œPā€ section of the Six Flags Magic Mountain parking lot after it reportedly caught fire on Friday, according to SCE and the L.A. County Fire Department.

SCE media relations senior advisor Diane Castro reported that the incident initially occurred at 5:42 p.m. SCE responded shortly after and cut the power to the transformer.

According to L.A. County Fire Department spokesman Brian Kight, a fire engine was dispatched to the scene to put out any fires on or near the transformer once the power was shut off. SCE then began working to restore power to the transformer. Castro added that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
