A juvenile was sent to the hospital after a fight with a man who was believed to be under the influence at the Village Apartments on Silverado and Via Canon on Sunday evening, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
First responders were dispatched to the fight by a swimming pool around 8:19 p.m. with deputies detaining one male who had been inside a burgundy car.
The fight was between a bunch of people, with Sgt. Robert Wilkinson from the station calling it a “mutual combat battery.”
Deputies contacted five Spanish-speaking people after the fight, Wilkinson said.
The victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital due to lacerations on his face.

Neighbors mentioned that an argument broke out between the victim and the suspect. A fight broke out and other kids in the area were also hit during the fight, according to witness accounts at the scene.
Wilkinson said that deputies had no record of anyone being transported or detained at the time of this publication.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were not available for comment at the time of this publication.
