Two people were detained after a pursuit that ended in a single-vehicle traffic collision on State Route 14 near Soledad Canyon Road on Saturday evening, according to California Highway Patrol Traffic Management.
Officers on the scene said that there were two Dodge Chargers and a Cadillac involved during the pursuit. They were racing in and out of lanes at high speeds.
Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but all three vehicles failed to yield, leading to a pursuit and during the chase, officers focused on the Cadillac as the primary suspect vehicle.
As the pursuit continued toward the Soledad Canyon Road and SR-14 off-ramp, the Dodge Chargers collided with each other after one of them spun out of control.
Officers detained two suspects, according to Officer John Trejos with Traffic Management.
Officers requested the Los Angeles County Fire Department to respond to the scene due to the collisions with emergency crews arriving to assess the occupants and secure the crash sites.
The extent of any injuries has not yet been released.
Trejos added that the incident is still under investigation.
