A 34-year-old man from Daytona Beach, Florida, was arrested on suspicion of murder after the U.S. Marshals Service placed him under arrest for the warrant and informed California Highway Patrol Newhall-area officers of the arrest on Wednesday, according to an official with the CHP.
On Dec. 14, 2025, officers investigated a traffic collision that involved the death of a juvenile on westbound Interstate 210 near Sunland Boulevard within the coverage area of the CHP Altadena-area Office, according to an email statement from Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez with the CHP’s Newhall-area Office.
On Wednesday, CHP Newhall-area officers met with U.S. Marshals and the suspect was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on the open charges, Burgos-Lopez added.
