A man is at large after stabbing a man multiple times with an unknown object on the 26500 block of McBean Parkway near the mall entrance on Wednesday evening, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The victim was getting off the bus near the Starbucks when the suspect approached him with the unknown object in his hands and began stabbing him, according to Detective Steve Erickson with the station.
Deputies were dispatched to the call at 6:15 p.m. after Starbucks employees called the station, Erickson said.
Despite social media reports that a suspect was found and detained, Erickson said that it is not accurate and is unrelated to the incident, Erickson added.
The victim was transported to the hospital, Erickson said.
Erickson said the call was not about a robbery but an assault with a deadly weapon.
There is no additional information at the time of this publication, Erickson said.
