One person was airlifted to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Thursday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Davenport Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Carlos Burgos-Lopez, a spokesman for the CHP Newhall-area Office, said the CHP was alerted about the single-vehicle crash just before 4 p.m. The truck had overturned and left the roadway during the crash, Burgos-Lopez said.
L.A. County Fire Department spokesman Saabullah Sheikh said units were called at about 4 p.m. and were on the scene at 4:15 p.m.
Burgos-Lopez said fire personnel had to extract the driver from the vehicle, who was then airlifted to Henry Mayo with moderate injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, Burgos-Lopez said.
