A multivehicle crash occurred on Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Dolan Way in Canyon Country, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson.
The incident was first reported at 12:22 p.m. with the first unit arriving on scene three minutes later to a two- to three-vehicle crash, L.A. County Public Information Officer Keith Navarre said.
First responders on the scene requested two ambulances to treat patients, but no transports were reported, according to Navarre.
Information on how the crash occurred was not immediately available as of the publication of this story, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
According to observations from the scene, the cars involved sustained significant damage and some of the airbags were deployed. Approximately seven patients were treated at the scene, including infants.
One car was carrying a dog, which was taken to get evaluated for injuries by a person who was also in that car following medical treatment.
