A fatal collision in Saugus left a husband and wife dead and a male driver arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Friday night, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Watch Deputy Rafael Fierra said the man’s car crashed into the couple’s vehicle on Bouquet Canyon Road and Newhall Ranch Road. The couple’s adult daughter was also in the vehicle and survived the crash.
Fierra did not have any information about the ages of the victims or the suspect.
Deputies were called at about 11:15 p.m. Friday, Fierra said. The couple’s daughter and the driver who crashed into their vehicle were transported for medical care. Fierra said the driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The scene of the crash was still being cleared Saturday morning.
