Exposed wires underground caused multiple explosions on the 23700 block of Valencia Boulevard on Sunday afternoon, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The explosion was in front of Toppers Pizza.
Sgt. Josh Nemeth with the station confirmed that the explosions were due to exposed wires underground that interacted with rainwater.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were dispatched at 12:06 p.m. to the incident, according to Capt. Aaron Katon with the Fire Department.

Katon said the person who called said that the sidewalk had blown up.
He added that firefighters arrived at 12:11 p.m. and two minutes later heard another explosion.
Around 12:16 p.m., more explosions happened, Katon said.
There was no more smoke or fire showing around 12:28 p.m., he said.
There were no transports or injuries, according to Katon.
Southern California Edison is repairing the damage at the time of this publication.
