The William S. Hart Union High School District issued a statement earlier this week stating the district is not affiliated with a flier circulating on social media in relation to a planned protest next weekend.
“The Hart district supports civic engagement and peaceful student expression; however, this event is not a district- or school-sponsored event and will not be supervised by the Hart district,” the statement said.
According to the post, a flier circulating around social media about a planned protest has been advertised as “district-wide” and used district school logos.
The logos on the flier include those of the individual high schools in the district.
