A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI involving drugs and alcohol after causing two separate traffic collisions in Castaic on Monday afternoon, according to an official with the California Highway Patrol Newhall-area Office.

CHP officers received calls reporting two vehicles involved in a crash on The Old Road and Sedona Way, according to an email statement from Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez with the CHP.

Upon officers arriving on the scene, they located three involved vehicles: a silver Lexus Sedan, a white Land Rover, and a yellow Mazda. With further investigation, it was determined the driver of the Land Rover had been involved in a crash with the yellow Mazda moments prior to fleeing that scene, the statement said.

The woman caused an additional crash on The Old Road near Sedona Way, which resulted in the driver of the Lexus receiving injuries, Burgos-Lopez’s statement said. Officers investigated the scene and arrested her on suspicion of felony DUI involving alcohol and drugs, the statement said.

She was booked into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Los Angeles, the statement said.
