The Saugus Union School District is scheduled to host a special meeting on Thursday morning to conduct interviews for the new superintendent who will replace the retiring Superintendent Colleen Hawkins.
Hawkins announced her retirement in November, stating it will go into effect in July.
“My career has been one of service leadership that has been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling,” Hawkins wrote in the letter announcing her retirement.
The interviews will be during the closed session portion of the meeting.
The meeting is scheduled 8 a.m. at the district’s Education Center, 24930 Avenue Stanford, Valencia.
For people who want to attend the open session portion of the meeting, it is scheduled to happen before the closed session.
