Two people were transported following a traffic collision at the intersection of Vasquez Canyon Road and Sierra Highway early Friday afternoon, according to Saadullah Sheikh, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
According to Sheikh, firefighters were dispatched at 12:40 p.m. and on the scene at 12:47 p.m. Two patients were transported at 1:10 p.m. The extent of their injuries was unknown, according to Sheikh.
According to Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez, public information officer for the California Highway Patrol Newhall-area Office, the collision involved a silver Honda accord and a Hyundai sedan.
The patients were transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, according to Burgos-Lopez, where officers followed the patients to the hospital to do a follow up.
