A 2-month-old child was airlifted at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station after accidentally falling at a residence on Providence Court in Saugus on Thursday morning, according to officials with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

The call came in around 9:20 a.m. of a 2-month-old accidentally falling and was not breathing, according to Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station.

The baby possibly fell out of their mother’s arms by accident, but Miller could not confirm that.

When deputies arrived, they said the baby was breathing, Miller said in a phone interview.

The mother and the child were transported by ambulance to the station, where they were airlifted to a hospital, Miller added.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the scene at 9:21 a.m. and airlifted the child at 9:58 a.m., according to Kaitlyn Aldana with the Fire Department.
