A deputy-involved fight took place after deputies responded to reports of a DUI near a tire shop near the intersection of Lyons Avenue and Newhall Avenue Thursday morning, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies.
According to deputies on the scene, the incident took place at approximately 10:05 a.m. Deputies first responded to reports of the vehicle driving the wrong way. The suspect wouldn’t comply, leading to the deputy-involved fight to restrain the suspect, according to a deputy on the scene.
It is unclear how many deputies were involved in the incident.
The white sedan was parked at Grand American Tire and had two flat tires on the passenger side of the vehicle. Deputies were seen searching the vehicle, finding multiple empty bottles of alcohol.
According to witnesses from the scene, two male suspects, presumed to be teenagers, were taken into custody.
