The William S. Hart Union High School District invites the community to its first State of the District event on Wednesday, April 29.
The celebration begins at 5 pm at the Canyon High School Performing Arts Center, marking 80 years of educational excellence in the Santa Clarita Valley since the district’s establishment in 1945, the district said in a news release.
The evening will highlight the opportunities available for students in the Hart district. The program is designed to be a warm, upbeat showcase of student achievement and district milestones, the release said.
According to the release, planned event highlights include:
• Student Showcases: Live performances from award-winning programs, including band, choir, dance, drama and an ROTC color guard presentation.
• District Updates: Presentations highlighting student learning, instructional innovation, wellness and post-secondary preparation.
• Community Reception: A post-event gathering with light refreshments to celebrate eight decades of “One Hart.”
“Our schools are places where opportunities abound today, inspiring students to explore, grow, and excel,” the release said. “Together, with families and the community, we create an environment where every child is seen, supported and given the tools to dream big.”
