LASD asks for help in locating missing Newhall woman

The Missing Persons Unit of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a woman reported missing after last being seen in Newhall. 

“Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Missing Persons Unit investigators are asking for the public’s help locating at-risk missing person, Jakisha Shanae Carson,” according to the alert published Wednesday by the LASD. “She is a 39-year-old Black female who was last seen on April 20, 2026, at 9 a.m., on the 24000 block of Lyons Avenue.” 

Carson is described as: 5 feet 1 inch tall, 163 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. 

“She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, pink pajama set and shorts,” according to the LASD notice.  

Carson requires medication and there is concern for her well-being, the LASD alert said.
