No action taken in SUSD special meeting

The Saugus Union School District governing board called a special meeting for Friday evening to discuss an employee discipline dismissal and release matter in closed session.  

No action was taken on the matter, governing board President Matthew Watson reported afterward in open session.  

The board established a quorum at 6:02 p.m. and returned from closed session at 6:46 p.m.  

No public comments were given before they went into closed session.  

Watson stated on Friday during a brief follow-up that he could not provide additional information on the matter.  District Superintendent Colleen Hawkins could not immediately be reached for further information at the time of this story’s publication.
