A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at a busy intersection of Canyon Country on Saturday afternoon, marking it as the second such incident in less than 24 hours.
First responders were dispatched to the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Whites Canyon Road at 2:29 p.m., according to Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Jonathan Torres. The first unit arrived in four minutes.
According to Sgt. Ryan Elsee with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, the person struck sustained minor injuries.
No transports were reported from the scene, Torres stated.
This marks the second vehicle versus pedestrian call in less than 24 hours within the Santa Clarita Valley.
On Friday, a man was fatally struck in a hit-and- run collision at the intersection of Magic Mountain Parkway and Tourney Road in Valencia and remains under active investigation as of the publication of this story.
