The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station is scheduled April 25 to host a prescription drug collection event as part of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
The event is scheduled 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the station, 26201 Golden Valley Road, Santa Clarita.
Residents are encouraged to safely and anonymously dispose of expired or unused prescription medications. Proper disposal helps prevent accidental overdoses, keeps medications out of the hands of those for whom they were not prescribed, and protects the local water supply from contamination, said a news release from the station.
