The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has been named a recipient of the 2026 President’s Circle Award by the California Chamber of Commerce, honoring the organization’s exceptional commitment to business advocacy, policy leadership, and legislative engagement throughout 2025, according to a news release from the SCV Chamber.
The President’s Circle Award recognizes local chambers that demonstrate excellence in advancing pro-business policies and actively participating in statewide advocacy efforts, the release said. Recipients are selected based on their ongoing involvement in key policy discussions, coalition-building efforts, and demonstrated commitment to advancing the priorities of the business community at the state level.
“This recognition is a direct reflection of the strength and engagement of our business community,” Di Thompson, chair of the SCV Chamber board, said in the release. “We are incredibly grateful to our members who consistently bring forward the issues and challenges impacting their businesses, allowing us to be a true voice for our region. It also speaks to the dedication of our board and management team, whose ongoing hard work and commitment ensure those voices are heard through meaningful advocacy.”
In 2025, the SCV Chamber worked to strengthen its advocacy impact through engagement with policymakers, participation in statewide coalition efforts, and leadership on critical issues affecting California’s business climate, including workforce technology regulation, housing development, and the Film & Television Tax Credit Program among many others, the release said.
“This recognition reflects the impact of focused, strategic advocacy and the strength of the relationships we’ve built at every level,” Ivan Volschenk, president/CEO of the SCV Chamber, said in the release. “We are committed to working on behalf of our members, alongside our advocacy partners, and in close collaboration with our elected officials and their offices to advance policies that support a strong and competitive business environment. Through these relationships, we are able to elevate regional priorities and help drive meaningful outcomes for the business community we serve.”
The SCV Chamber is scheduled to be formally recognized at the California Business Outlook and Dinner on June 10 in Sacramento.
