A motorcycle sheriff’s deputy was transported to the hospital in unknown condition following a traffic collision on Thursday evening in Saugus, according to a source familiar with the incident.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the intersection of Avenida Rancho Tesoro and Stoney Creek Road at 6:33 p.m. to a traffic collision, according to L.A. County Fire spokesperson Jonathan Torres.
A source familiar with the incident stated a motorcycle deputy crashed into a pole chasing kids on e-bikes.
Torres stated one person was transported to the hospital in unknown condition. The person injured was identified as the sheriff’s deputy, according to the source familiar with the matter, and is expected to recover from his injuries.
